4.01. Establishment Of Board
There is hereby created and established a City Board of Health of the City of Springfield, Brown County, Minnesota, to consist of three members, one of whom shall be a resident physician of Springfield, who shall be the principal member of said Board and the City Health Officer. However, the Mayor of the said City, shall be the executive head of said Board. The members of said Board shall be appointed by the Mayor immediately on the taking effect of this ordinance,, one member to be appointed for the term of one year, one for the term of two years, and one for the term of three years, and thereafter one each year for a term of three years.
4.02. Compensation
The compensation of said City Health Officer shall be prescribed by the City Council by resolution and the same, together with his necessary expenses, shall be paid by the City. The other members of the Board shall serve without compensation.
4.03. Duties And Powers
The duties and powers of said Board of Health, and of said Health Officer, shall be such as are or may be from time to time prescribed by the statutes of the State of Minnesota, and the published regulations of the State Board of Health.
