ISO Fire Protection Rating: Class 4
The City Fire Department has earned an ISO Class 4 rating from the Insurance Services Office (ISO). ISO ratings range from Class 1 (best) to Class 10 (no recognized protection) and are used by insurance companies to evaluate a community’s fire protection capabilities.
A Class 4 rating reflects a strong, well-organized fire protection system, recognizing the department’s staffing, training, equipment, water supply, emergency communications, and response capabilities. For property owners, this rating can be beneficial because it may contribute to lower fire insurance premiums compared to communities with higher (weaker) ISO classifications.
This rating demonstrates the City’s continued investment in public safety and its commitment to maintaining reliable and effective fire protection services.
