City of Springfield Public Utilities Commission

Reliable, Affordable Utilities Powering Our Community

The Springfield Public Utilities Commission (PUC) operates the City's water, wastewater, and electric systems. The PUC has made it a top priority to keep facilities up to date while maintaining utility rates as affordable as possible.

The Springfield PUC is a member of the Central Municipal Power Agency and Services (formally known as the Central Minnesota Municipal Power Agency). Springfield is known for its reliable electrical system as power outages are easily overcome thanks to generators with the capacity to provide power for the entire city.
