If interested in the sidewalk replacement program please contact City Hall at (507) 723-3500 or leave a message at the Street Department (507) 723-3513. The Street Department will go look at the sidewalk and decide if it falls into the criteria of getting replaced with the help of the City or not. Criteria includes: broken up sidewalk or heaved sidewalk that causes a trip hazard. If it meets the criteria, the Street Department will partner with the homeowner and the contractor that will do the repair and get it taken care of in a timely matter. The program provides assistance of $4.00 a square foot.
