Vehicle Registration
Vehicle registration (aka: tabs) can be renewed through the mail or in person at City Hall. Please make sure that the following items are enclosed in the envelope:
- Renewal Notice, Renewal Notice without Form or a note that includes plate number, year, make, title number or Vin#, DL# of owner and owner's signature
- Check/Money Order for correct amount
- Verify your address as being correct
- Verify that this is the correct vehicle
- Mailing address, if different from the permanent address
If you prefer to mail this to us, please send all of the above to Attn: Vehicle Registration, City of Springfield, 2 East Central St, Springfield, MN 56087. Please include your phone number in the event that we would need to notify you. If you have questions, please call our office (507) 723-3500. We will complete and return your transaction the day it is received.
The following may also be renewed via mail or in person at City Hall:
- Snowmobiles
- Off-Highway Vehicle (Including ATV's - Class 1 & Class 2, Off-Highway Motorcycles, Off-Road Vehicles)
- Watercraft (Boats, Jet Skis, etc.)
