The Community Ambulance Service is operated by the City of Springfield and staffed with volunteers. This department is equipped with two Type 1 ambulances and is operational 24 hours per day. The Ambulance service is professionally managed by Allina Health Transportation.

Seeking Emergency Medical Responders and Emergency Medical Technicians
The City of Springfield is now accepting applications for the position of Emergency Medical Responder and Emergency Medical Technician. Certification training is paid for by the City of Springfield and classes are offered locally.
- On-Call Pay: $5 per hour
- On-Duty Pay
- $14/hr. When on a call (EMR Certified)
- $18/hr. When on a call (EMT Certified)
- $22/hr. When on a call (Paramedic Certified)
The City of Springfield also provides free lodging at the Medical Center for those that live outside of the corporate limits.
