The City of Springfield is seeking reliable and community-minded individuals to serve as Election Judges for the upcoming 2026 elections.
Election Judges play an important role in ensuring fair, accurate, and efficient elections. Responsibilities include assisting voters, checking in voters at the polling place, and helping maintain the voting process throughout Election Day.
What To Know:
- Paid training is provided
- Judges are paid for both training and Election Day
- Election will include the Primary August 11, 2026 and General November 3, 2026 Elections
- Staff will be available to provide support.
- Election days are long, but meals are provided.
NEW THIS YEAR: This will be the first elections that the City of Springfield will be one ward, making election day a little less complicated than past years.
Application Process
Election Judges must meet Minnesota State Requirements:
- Must be a United States Citizen and eligible voter in the State of Minnesota
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must not be the spouse, parent, stepparent, child, stepchild, sibling or stepsibling of any election judge serving in the same precinct or of any candidate at that election
- Must not be domiciled, either permanently or temporarily, with any candidate on the ballot at that election
- Must not be a candidate at that election
